We were sad to see such inconsistent disk I/O performance with our SAN after we did quite a bit of testing before releasing it but we believe we found the problem (combination of driver, OS, and network issues) and while we still have one minor hurdle to get over, we are pleased with the testing we have done thus far.

Of course our current tests are being done a very empty server since all of the VPSs were migrated off, but we are seeing an increase of more than quadruple our previous write speeds and more than double the write speeds of our 10k SAS drives. Once we fix this one minor issue on our SolusVM master we will begin to do some larger tests in hopes to replicate real world usage and see what kind of performance we receive.

I would like to thank all of our clients for their patience with this issue (although the impact has been none, we are still saddened that our new infrastructure is not in pristine working order for you). This also pushed back our intended KVM testing so the longer we work on this, the longer it will take for us to get KVM out to all of you patiently waiting for it.
