After much debate, we have decided to migrate ICE01 back to a physical server to avoid the headaches caused with having to share resources. This decision became final when this morning ICE01 went offline when we had never had a problem when it was running on its own hardware. We really wanted this to work out since being a virtual server had a lot more benefits than being a physical server but unfortunately stability and performance out weighed those benefits and we are performing the migration to benefit our cPanel Hosting clients. Maybe in the future when we have put more time into testing a virtualization platform that would best handle CloudLinux and cPanel we will consider virtualizing ICE01 again but in the mean time, we are trying to focus on giving our cPanel Hosting clients the best experience possible right now.

We truly apologize for all of the headaches ICE01 has caused our clients since it was virtualized, although most have probably not noticed since they were very limited in frequency and severity but they were there none-the-less.

Thank you all for your understanding and giving us the chance to make things right. We have a new server online as we speak and we are configuring it to mirror the same setup as our current ICE01 server. Once everything is configured and tested (thoroughly of course) we will migrate everybody over (no downtime is expected). We will update this announcement once the migration starts and completes. No ETA at this time but it is expected to happen in the next few days once the new server is deemed stable and ready.
