This is probably our biggest announcement yet! Next week the Secure Dragon team is taking a nice trip to our favorite place in the world... GORACK! We're bringing with us a nice, hearty, new infrastructure too! While I'm not at liberty to provide specific details just yet I can say that it will be a nicely sized Dell blade setup, yup, I said blades! We picked up a Dell chassis and filled it with blade servers! That means that KVM plans are almost here! Yes, we are so excited about this we are hitting our exclamation point quota for the month in this one announcement!

So right now you might be looking at us a bit weird. Yes, we know this is a HUGE leap from the 1 server we are running now but we've been so successful in our first week this was the only logical choice for us and we're so happy that our clients decided to take a leap of faith with such a new company and your faith has paid off with a much stronger infrastructure for you, our clients.

Along with these new blade servers we've added the following to our arsenal: new networking equipment, a 42U locking cabinet just for us, multiple PDUs, and a handful of rackmount servers. In addition to the massive amounts of RAM and CPU, we've also stocked up on plenty of SAS and SATA drives to build a brand new RAID10 NAS for our storage system to knock those current disk I/O speeds into the clouds (uh oh, IT buzzword alert)!

The whole new build is scheduled to take place next Wednesday and Thursday (29th and 30th). This new build will possibly result in some downtime for you but at the current estimation we believe that one reboot may be needed. We hope that SolusVM's live migration will result in no downtime but we cannot be 100% sure at this point as this is a fairly large build we're doing. Due to the nature of the build no estimate or window can be provided for the possible downtime but again we expect it to be no longer than a single reboot.

It should also be noted that during the 29th and 30th, our ability to respond quickly to support tickets may also be impacted while we all focus on this new build but we will try our best to keep communication open and I personally hope to be able to document the build via Twitter with some pics to follow.
