Last night we pushed a rather large update for Wyvern which added a lot of features that clients were requesting, here is a quick overview on the new additions:
  • Ability to add custom IPv6 addresses.
  • Ability to add 10 random IPv6 addresses at a time.
  • Ability to enable Second Level Quotas on your VPS.
  • User created backups are extended to 30 days instead of 24 hours.
  • User created backups can now be deleted early to allow for a new backup to be taken.
  • User created backups can now be restored within Wyvern.
  • Clients can change the SSH port number to a random port number (within a safe, unused range).
  • Clients can disable password authentication from Wyvern.
  • Clients can upload their own SSH keys for root through Wyvern.
  • More accurate and more frequently updated bandwidth accounting.
  • Better log and success/failure messages.
  • Layout update to better organize everything on smaller screens (some buttons have been moved inside tabs).
  • Minor bug and typo fixes along with some performance improvements.
This new update has been running smoothly in our development environment for a few weeks now without any issues or hiccups. Please feel free to open a ticket with our Support department if you find anything that looks out of place or is not functioning the way you would expect. After the update was put in place we ran multiple tests to ensure every button worked properly and, with the exception of a single function that wasn't working (Delete Backups) and a corrupt file that needed to be re-uploaded, everything appears to be working as it should.
