Wednesday morning at around 3:10AM EST we received an alert that our New Jersey node was offline. After contacting our data center for more details, we were informed that there was a planned migration to their new data center in Weehawken, NJ which we were unaware of. They powered down our node and loaded it on a vehicle to transport it to the new data center and it was back online at 12:07PM EST after some remote hands were able to assist in fixing a hardware issue that occurred during transit. At this time, our NJ node is now being hosted in the Data Reality Trust building in Weehawken, NJ. which offers better connectivity to our European clients.

We spoke with management at COLO@ about the communication oversight and they will ensure that any future maintenance plans will be properly received by us. At this time we are continueing to build our business relationship with COLO@ but are also looking at diversifying our infrastructure to allow both geographical diversity and removing heavy reliance on one single company. At this time, 4 out of our 7 locations are all hosted in COLO@ facilities with 1 more being brought online in the next few weeks.

Luckily, only 0.01% of our clients were impacted by this outage since the node had only been online for less than 1 week.
