With all of the network issues of the past I am happy to finally have a positive announcement to report. Today at 5:59PM EST our primary router (rou01) came under a DOS attack similar to last week but after rou01 failed under the attack, our backup router (rou02) successfully took over and was running without any issues or performance degradation for 70 minutes until we were able to console into rou01 to reset it. This is not the first successful failover of our network but we wanted to share the results for the benefit of our clients who deserve to know that we are working hard to iron out any problems and learning from our past mistakes.
It's always good to have some good news once in a while. :)
