We've been seeing extremely high loads on our Portland node and are working to troubleshoot the issue. We apologize for any slowness, disconnects, or reboots you may experience while we work to resolve this.
RESOLVED: This has been fixed. The issue was our backup drive on the server crashed and was mounted but not responding so whenever one of our automated tasks kicked off to generate or backup any data (including VPS load and bandwidth graphs) it causes the process to hang and thus they began to pile up until the loads reached over 110.00 causing slowness. We rebooted the node with the drive removed from fstab so it wouldn't mount on boot and have repaired the drive with a fsck. Performance appears back to normal but we will continue to monitor the node closely.
