Tomorrow evening (10PM EST) we will be performing router maintenance to hopefully resolve some minor issues and to replace some hardware. We will be failing over to a backup router during the maintenance so no downtime is expected. This maintenance is part of our current project of improving our network by providing full network redundancy which we hope to have completed by the end of this month. Our estimated window will be 1 hour and we will fail-back to our primary router if we encounter and issues or downtime.
UPDATE: Just finished some pre-maintenance tests and configuration. We'll be switching over to the backup router very shortly.
UPDATE 2: Still working on getting our backup router to work.
UPDATE 3: Ok, got the backup router working finally. Typos are killer and it doesn't help that one of the IPs provided to us wasn't configured correctly so we ended up having to use the same IP as our primary router (not ideal but we'll just have to leave the backup unplugged when the primary is online until it's resolved).
COMPLETE: All maintenance is complete and we've switched back to the primary router.
