Here is a copy of the e-mail sent to clients on February 10th:
We have decided to discontinue our cPanel services due to the rising costs of licensing making it unsustainable to operate.
If you currently have a service that has an invoice due prior to April 28th, we've set your account to not generate any invoices between now and the 28th to allow time for you to migrate your websites to another hosting provider.
If you have services that renew after April 28th, we will be providing prorated refunds for the remainder of your billing cycle. Please open a ticket with our Billing department if you'd like the pro-rated refund manually processed to your payment method (Stripe or PayPal), otherwise we will automatically apply the refund as account credit to be used for other services on April 28th. Please note that we will be marking all of these accounts as "Cancelled" in the Client Area to prevent accidental invoice generation but your cPanel services will remain online until April 28th, 2024, regardless of your status in the Client Area.
We are disappointed to have to make this decision, but the interest in shared hosting has dropped significantly over the years so we cannot continue to operate the service at a loss. While our cPanel hosting services have never been a primary focus for us, we were very happy to be able to provide an extremely affordable option. Sadly, the constant price increases for licensing have pushed us out of the market of budget website hosting.
If you need assistance in getting your site migrated to a new hosting provider, please open a ticket with our Support department and we can assist in getting your website data moved over. If you have any questions regarding this change, please feel free to reach out to us and we will do our best to answer and address any questions or concerns you might have.
