FIRE0002 has been replaced with some new quad-core Xeons and a RAID10 setup. It is currently online and ready for production use. We will be migrating clients over to this node in order to reboot our other nodes to update the kernels to fix a current known stability issue.
GOLD001 has been replaced with a brand new server and is chugging away with 8 new hard drives in RAID5 with write speeds peaking at 250MB/s. We will be migrating all of our Backup VPS clients over to this server shortly and hope that the new RAID5 with a much more powerful RAID controller will improve the backup times and allow our Backup VPSs to better utilize the dual 1Gbps ports.
We have also added a new router to our cabinet and will be implimenting it in the near future to allow for better control and monitoring of our network. Since there will be a network disruption we will provide ample notice prior to scheduling any work.
