At this time we have a planned migration for our Portland, OR OpenVZ services scheduled for February 5th, 2016. We will be migrating all OpenVZ VPSs on or1ovz01 to a new SSD powered node hosted in the same location. At this time all new orders will be provisioned on the new SSD node.

Here is a copy of the e-mail we sent to our clients:

You are receiving this e-mail because you have one or more VPSs on a server that is being replaced next month with a brand new SSD powered node. We plan on mass migrating all VPSs currently on or1ovz01 to the new node on February 5th starting at 10PM EST (UTC-5).

Your IP will remain the same but a reboot will most likely be required. The downtime will be minimal and range from 30 seconds to 10 minutes depending on the amount of data and VPS activity.

We are willing to manually migrate clients over so if you would like to migrate your VPS early to either take advantage of the SSD performance or to accommodate your own schedule, please open a ticket with our Support department and we will get your VPS migrated over sooner.

Another new change that comes from this is that we are removing our DDOS Protected specific plans from our website and including our Portland location as an option for our normal OpenVZ VPSs meaning you can now order one of our normal VPS plans and have your VPS placed in Portland without any additional cost (over 10Gbps of DDOS protection is still included in our Portland location). For clients still on our DDOS Protected VPS plans, you are welcome to downgrade to one of our OpenVZ VPS plans (this can be done inside the Client Area) but keep in mind that your resources will be reduced to those plan specs as well as the price. If you keep your current plans and pricing you will not be able to migrate to or from our Portland location. All of our regular OpenVZ VPS plans are able to migrate freely among all 9 of our locations, 3 of which now offer DDOS protection (Dallas, Los Angeles, and Portland).

If you have any questions regarding the new node, the planned migration, the plan changes, or anything else then please open a ticket with our Support department and we can assist you further. Thank you.

This announcement will serve as notice to all clients about the upcoming migration.
